The Agency of Transportation (AOT) has updated and implemented Title VI program plans specific to the federal aid program areas within the agency, its many external transportation partners, and to ensure comprehensive Title VI compliance with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations. As the Title VI law is applicable and relevant to all AOTs’ programs, services, and activities as a recipient of federal funds and assistance, the separate program plans for FMCSA, FHWA and FTA reflect a variance in program emphasis at the federal administrative level, and not in the interpretation or implementation of Title VI by AOT, whether internally or in its application to our external partners.
